Skiing by the sea in Caorle on the Neveplast cross-country ski track
The Neveplast cross-country ski ring on the Caorle seafront is the major innovation of Caorle Wonderland. From December 4 to January 9, in Caorle, a charming town on the Adriatic Sea, "Caorle Wonderland" has returned—a marathon of Christmas events marking the beginning of the winter season for the city. The highlight of the 2021 edition is the 400-meter-long Neveplast cross-country ski track that runs along the Adriatic coastline's cliffs.
Adults and children can use the track daily from 10 AM to 8 PM, bringing their own skis or renting them on-site. There will be a dedicated ski rental service and a control service to ensure the safety of all participants. It is an invaluable experience, a dream for Nordic skiing enthusiasts who can engage in this picturesque route made of Neveplast synthetic material, lulled by the sea waves and immersed in the city's Christmas atmosphere.
The track starts near the Sanctuary of Madonna dell'Angelo along the cliff, an iconic location in Caorle, a tourist gem of Veneto. This is the first time that cross-country skiing can be experienced so close to the sea on the Venetian coast, and the project is also notable for its strong green connotation.
The organizers of Caorle Wonderland turned to Neveplast because the Bergamo-based company guaranteed a certified and competitive product with a green perspective.
The cross-country ski track, like all Neveplast products, is eco-friendly, does not disperse into the environment, and is completely regenerable, ensuring savings in electricity and water during use. Protecting nature and combating pollution, promoting more sustainable development, are principles Neveplast is more committed to than ever.
Niccolò Bertocchi, CEO of Neveplast, said:
“I congratulate the organizers of Caorle Wonderland for this wonderful Christmas edition. Caorle is a beautiful seaside town, famous for hosting tourists mainly in the summer; thanks to this charming Christmas village, it will attract many visitors even in winter. I have seen that in these first days of opening, many people of different ages and technical skills have skied on our Neveplast track. The location is truly wonderful, and I believe it offers an excellent opportunity to ski in the city, by the sea, in a completely unique and picturesque setting. I am sure that many of those who have tried our track in Caorle will be eager to go skiing in the mountains in the Dolomites. From Caorle, the journey to reach some of the most beautiful ski resorts in the world is very short.”
Simone Tomasello, Organizer of Caorle Wonderland, said:
“Last year we were stopped by the pandemic, but this year we want to fully experience Christmas again. We have raised the bar, extending our ‘Wonderland’ by over a kilometer with new attractions and new proposals. The cross-country ski track is one of the crown jewels of this incredible edition.”
