Skiddy gets a makeover: new design, more grip, and many other novelties

New look for SKIDDY: now drifting with go-karts on Neveplast is even more fun. Innovation and entrepreneurial vision, the latter understood as the ability to seize new business opportunities, have always been the competitive levers for Neveplast's growth.

These efforts materialized in 2022 with the creation of a completely renewed version of Skiddy: the concept we designed for go-kart drifting that simulates sliding on ice and snow.

The brand-new Neveplast Skiddy is set to inherit the legacy of the first model, which was introduced about 10 years ago, and was developed to enhance the drifting experience with go-karts by providing greater wear resistance and a stronger sense of grip. The result is still excellent drifting but with a bit more control. Drifting remains the soul of Skiddy, but thanks to the new blend and geometric shape, it allows for more controlled drifting. The direct consequence is an upgrade in terms of fun and performance.

The driver can set the key phase of entering a curve, controlling the kart's slide at will. When the kart's drifting becomes too pronounced, the new Neveplast Skiddy allows for easier and more intuitive kart recovery. The new Skiddy, in terms of design, speaks the same language as the first generation but also marks a further step forward aesthetically, ensuring medium and long-term wear resistance. After the first months of testing in autumn 2022, we created the first track with the new Neveplast Skiddy in Livigno.

This is the same track where we launched Skiddy for the first time in 2013. The results seem excellent, and the feedback from both the public and the facility manager is enthusiastic. The new Skiddy will be available in blue, but like all Neveplast products, it will be available in various colors and customizable upon request.
