Snow Tubing at Central Station lights up the Christmas Village
Among the attractions of “Sensation on Ice,” the ice park in front of Central Station in Piazza Duca d’Aosta, open to the public from December 7 throughout the Christmas season, is the Neveplast Snow Tubing track. This is the largest ice rink ever set up in Milan.
The Snow Tubing track, featuring two straight lanes, has already become a must-see attraction at “Sensation on Ice.” Riding the colorful snow tubes, each descent provides excitement and fun for the whole family. All of this is under the shadow of the majestic Christmas tree and the enchanting Christmas lights that decorate the theme park.
The village, envisioned and created by the Calabria region and Grandi Stazioni, aims to evoke the typical settings of Nordic winter landscapes and offer sports and entertainment at no cost.
In addition to Snow Tubing, Sensation on Ice hosts several Christmas attractions, including an 18-meter-high Christmas tree. The 1300 square meter ice skating rink and the snow tubing track are free for all citizens to use.
“This project embodies the festive spirit connected to the typical Nordic landscapes of Christmas,” said Erica Iop, CEO of AADV Entertainment, who designed the village. “The largest skating rink in Lombardy and, thanks to its layout, the largest in Italy, along with Santa’s house and, of course, the tree, the quintessential symbol of Christmas.”
