S-KID, the Go-Kart Drifting for jids, heats up the Arese Shopping Center
At the Arese shopping center "Il Centro," the Neveplast Drift Kart track, called S-KID, has been operational from December 8 to February 26, 2023. The name itself hints at the target audience of young drivers it is aimed at.
The Neveplast track, a full 120 meters long, allows for low-adhesion drifting, simulating driving on snow/ice with the latest generation of electric karts. With S-KID, young drivers have the opportunity to have fun while learning, simulating skids, drifts, countersteering, and overtaking as if they were actually driving on a snowy surface. At "Il Centro" in Arese, one of the largest shopping centers in Europe, the S-KID track has so far been a great success.
Paolo Bertolini, S-KID Arese manager, said: "The success of an initiative is always measured by the numbers and the smiles of the children. Regarding the numbers: almost 10,000 children drove on our track during the Christmas period. As for the smiles, look at the photos and videos we took and judge for yourselves!"
S-KID was the big novelty for the Christmas entertainment area at the Arese shopping center, one of the largest shopping centers in Italy, covering an area of 93,000 square meters, hosting more than 200 shops and over 30 dining points. The S-KID track, as the name suggests, stems from the Skiddy experience, the format dedicated to electric karts on a Neveplast low-adhesion track that simulates driving on snow and ice with drifts. S-KID, thanks to specially designed karts with dual motors and enhanced power, was designed to meet the needs of young drivers seeking safety and maximum fun.
Target Audience:
The specific target audience is from 8 to 20 years old. Children under 8 can drive but must be accompanied by an adult.
Sustainable Fun:
The Arese shopping center, always attentive to environmental sustainability, also appreciated the eco-friendly nature of the S-KID drift kart track, featuring electric karts and an eco-compatible Neveplast track.
