Presolana Ski Arena 365, the new year-round ski hub

The new home of skiing, snowboarding and freestyle all year round in the heart of the Orobie mountains

Neveplast and Presolana Ski are delighted to announce the opening of Presolana Ski Arena 365, a brand-new project dedicated to the training of athletes and ski clubs, and to the introduction to skiing, snowboarding and freestyle 12 months a year, thanks to the latest generation of Neveplast surfaces.

A unique project combining innovation, place and sport

Presolana Ski Arena 365 is located in one of the most iconic and authentic mountain destinations in Lombardy, in the heart of the Orobie Pre-Alps, less than one hour from Bergamo and around 90 minutes from Milan – a city that is a symbol of innovation and host of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games.

A strategic location that makes the facility easily accessible from all over Northern Italy and the entire Alpine arc.

The project stands out for a combination of key elements:

  • cutting-edge technology (use of the latest Neveplast surfaces for alpine skiing, snowboarding and freestyle)
  • a territorial vision enhancing Presolana as a year-round sports and tourism hub
  • environmental sustainability (certified materials, landscape-friendly choices, circular economy)
  • strong sporting and social impact (training, education, inclusion and youth engagement)

Technical features

The project covers a skiable surface of approximately 4,000 m² and includes a 240 m main slope, built with Neveplast AllRide, specifically designed for skiing and snowboarding with sensations comparable to compact snow. It features a permanent timing system for training and time-trial tests.

A dedicated 90 m Freestyle run equipped with 5 features (boxes and rails), surfaced with Neveplast FreeStyle, allows jumps, tricks and technical moves in complete safety.

The facility includes an integrated automated video system for immediate video analysis and a dedicated ski-lift enabling a high number of laps, ideal for intensive and realistic year-round training.

Ski clubs and teams also have access to poles for training, supplied on-site. Thanks to LISKI, a regional excellence, which provided the slalom and giant slalom poles to further enhance the safety and quality of Presolana Ski Arena 365.

The layout allows a theoretical maximum capacity of 50 to 80 people, depending on activity type (training, courses, freestyle).

A permanent lab for training and research

Presolana Ski Arena 365 aims to become a technical reference centre in Italy for pre-season training of ski clubs and national teams, video analysis, technique development, equipment testing with partner brands, and introductory or advanced courses for all ages and ski schools.

It is also designed to host events, races, corporate challenges and media days, becoming a strategic destination for year-round skiing in Italy.

Sustainability and territorial integration

The project is part of a broader strategy to relaunch Presolana as a modern, accessible and sustainable mountain destination. It reactivates under-utilised areas, supports existing facilities and generates new flows of visitors, athletes and schools, with positive impacts on hospitality, restaurants and services.

It contributes to stable employment and strengthens the area’s development in sports, education and tourism, becoming a local economic engine based on innovation and the value of the mountains.

Presolana Ski Arena 365 has been created with a strong focus on environmental sustainability.

The slopes are made with Neveplast AllRide and Neveplast FreeStyle, both ISCC+ certified and produced with raw materials that are 90% from non-fossil sources, reflecting a concrete commitment to ecological transition and reducing environmental impact.

The structure of Neveplast surfaces allows grass to grow beneath the stems, maintaining soil permeability. This contributes to the glide quality and demonstrates the compatibility between Neveplast and nature: the infrastructure does not seal the ground but interacts with it harmoniously.

Misting system

The slopes are equipped with the new Neveplast Misting System, an innovative misting technology specifically designed for Neveplast surfaces.

It ensures homogeneous lubrication, enhancing glide and compact-snow feeling while using minimal water and energy.

The system keeps the surface moist and high-performing without wetting users, ensuring comfort, efficiency and sustainability.

Aesthetic appeal

Special care has been taken in landscape integration: Neveplast slopes are designed to be efficient and high-performing while blending visually with the surrounding environment.

The green colour recalls natural grass and reduces visual impact.

Regeneration

At the end of their life cycle, the surfaces can be recovered, processed and regenerated to produce new slopes in a circular-economy system that minimises waste.

With an estimated lifespan of 15 to 20 years, the materials support long-term sustainability, reducing replacements and environmental impact.

Presolana Ski Arena 365 represents a new model of sustainable mountain development, where technology, research, design and environmental responsibility merge to offer an advanced, welcoming and ecosystem-friendly sports experience.
