Neveplast at the Forefront of the 2025 Junior Cross-Country Skiing World Championships in Schilpario
Neveplast confirms its pioneering role in the world of cross-country skiing by participating in the 2025 FIS Junior and U23 Cross-Country Skiing World Championships in Schilpario. From February 5 to 9, the Bergamo-based company installed a Neveplast X-Country demonstration track in the Ski Room Area, offering athletes, coaches, and technical staff the opportunity to test the innovative surface designed to ensure year-round training, regardless of weather conditions.
Neveplast X-Country: The Revolution of Snow-Free Cross-Country Skiing
Neveplast’s technology, renowned for creating year-round artificial ski slopes, attracted the attention of athletes from 42 nations competing in the Junior World Championships. Among those who tested the track was Bolivian athlete Paolo Vargas, who enthusiastically commented:
"I never imagined a material so similar to natural snow could exist. It’s a fantastic invention, especially for countries like mine, where snow is scarce. This technology allows training without being affected by the weather and provides a great advantage even for traditional skiing."
Neveplast X-Country introduces a unique innovation:
- Track module for classic technique, designed to faithfully replicate natural snow skiing conditions.
- Advanced surface for skating technique, ensuring optimal grip and a natural gliding sensation.
Training and Innovation: The Ski Instructor Course on Neveplast
Beyond the competing athletes, on February 5, the trainees of the ski instructor training course from the Piedmont Region had the opportunity to complete their mandatory internship directly on the Neveplast track. This milestone was made possible thanks to the initiative of Fabio Monaci, head of the cross-country skiing division at Urban Ski Lab in Bergamo and promoter of Neveplast X-Country, who successfully proposed integrating this training experience.
Luca Bortot, national cross-country ski instructor, commented:
"It’s the first time we’ve tested a training module on Neveplast, and it was an exciting experience. The course participants taught school children in a unique setting, during a World Championship, on an innovative surface that not only improves training but also brings more people closer to our sport."
Neveplast: Ongoing Innovation in Cross-Country Skiing
Neveplast was the first company in the world to develop the classic technique track module, and in 2024, it launched a revolutionary product set to transform cross-country skiing practice.
Fabio Monaci, cross-country skiing director at Urban Ski Lab, highlighted the evolution of the technology:
"I have always believed in Neveplast’s vision for cross-country skiing, but the new patent combining the track module for classic technique with the advanced surface for skating technique represents a huge leap forward. This solution meets the needs of both athletes and enthusiasts, making our sport increasingly accessible."
Year-Round Training Innovation
Neveplast’s participation in the 2025 Junior Cross-Country Skiing World Championships reaffirms the company’s role as a leader in synthetic surface training, providing cutting-edge solutions for cross-country skiers worldwide. With Neveplast X-Country technology, training is now possible all year round, independent of weather conditions, while maintaining an extremely realistic skiing sensation.
