Monte Pora, Piani di Bobbio, and Borno choose Neveplast Tubby
Neveplast Tubby for the Summer 2021 Relaunch
Three of the most renowned ski resorts in Lombardy have decided to focus on the experiential activity of Neveplast Tubby to increase their appeal, particularly targeting families.
As part of a general rethinking of the tourism strategy of ski resorts increasingly oriented towards destagionalization, three well-known Lombard destinations—Monte Pora, Piani di Bobbio, and Borno—have chosen Neveplast Tubby to expand their offerings starting in summer 2021.
The Appeal of Mountains in Summer
Especially after the pandemic outbreak, the mountains have become the queen of summer tourism, a preferred destination for a broader target of tourists because they combine the allure of nature with the safety and freedom of moving in unspoiled spaces. However, the captivating beauty of the landscapes, the fresh air, and the tranquility that only the mountains can offer are not enough to attract new visitors and convince tourists to spend their vacations in the mountains. Mountain resorts need to offer sustainable tourism in an experiential way: providing fun activities in contact with nature, enjoyable for the whole family.
Neveplast Tubby: Fun for the Whole Family
Neveplast Tubby, the original summer tubing invented by Neveplast, combines excellent smoothness with high safety standards, making it an adrenaline-filled attraction for the whole family. The descents on Tubby tracks entertain both children and adults, and thanks to their high hourly capacity, they ensure a quick return on investment for the operators.
Like all Neveplast products, Tubby does not disperse into the environment and is completely regenerable, ensuring savings in electricity and water use. Protecting nature and fighting pollution, promoting more sustainable development, are principles Neveplast adheres to now more than ever.
Monte Pora
The Monte Pora ski resort, after a recent change in ownership, is more focused than ever on creating a new scenario for its tourism reality.
From a ski area to a destination: Monte Pora aims to make this leap, increasingly looking at destagionalization and the attractions that a magnificent area, with its tourism offerings, can guarantee.
Among the new features presented at the beginning of summer is the creation of "Pora beach," an area by the lake with a floating walkway.
In the Vareno area, a Neveplast Tubby track has been installed, usable in both summer and winter, fully customized from the track colors, including the parabolics, to the donuts, reflecting the new Monte Pora logo colors. It was a new challenge for Neveplast, which was delighted to offer a fully personalized service, adding an extra touch of exclusivity and sophistication.
Maurizio Seletti, CEO of Monte Pora Impianti, said:
“We are very satisfied with the new installation in Vareno this year. Neveplast was extremely accommodating and flexible in meeting our needs, both in terms of track setup and color customization, to incorporate our new coordinated image on the track and the tubes.
In the first days of opening, we received excellent feedback and many compliments from tourists visiting our mountains, who now have one more reason to visit us.”
Piani di Bobbio
The renowned Piani di Bobbio ski resort in the province of Lecco, within the Valsassina region, also expanded its tourism offerings in summer 2021 with a Neveplast tubing track made even more interesting by the custom Tubby Tunnel, named Bobbio Tube.
The BOBBIO Tube, a custom version of the Tubby Tunnel, is an immersive tunnel fully personalized with graphics based on the theme chosen by the ski resort, adding charm and adrenaline to the snow tube descent.
Once tourists pass through the Bobbio Tube tunnel on snow tubes, they enter a fantasy world characterized by themed scenarios and settings, offering an exhilarating experiential adventure.
Massimo Fossati, CEO of Imprese Turistiche Barziesi SPA, said:
“We chose Neveplast Tubby to offer our clientele an attraction of fun and adventure, ensuring maximum safety. Bobbiotube has proven to be a popular proposal with both children and adults, enriching the amusement park we launched at the top of the Barzio-Bobbio Cable Car.”
Borno Ski Area
Borno Ski Area, a vibrant ski resort in Vallecamonica, focuses on Energy Tube, a Neveplast tubing track located at the base of the lifts and served by a lift system.
For Borno, it is a dream come true. The goal was to make the renovated area at the lift base increasingly welcoming for everyone: a goal achieved through a team effort on the ground.
Why ENERGY TUBE?
Energy stands for the energy felt on our mountain, which increasingly becomes a mountain of experiences.
Sliding on Neveplast synthetic snow tubes is set to change the summer fun at Borno Ski Area. The ascent is comfortably achieved on a conveyor belt.
Demis Zendra, CEO of Borno Ski Area, said:
“Energy Tube has helped change the face of our welcome area. The idea of placing it came from the desire to create an attraction for children in nature, within a much larger project aimed at destagionalizing and diversifying the offer.”
