Izvoare Resort: a four-season destination showcasing the complete Neveplast experience

Izvoare Resort has taken a major step forward in its development journey, establishing itself as a true four-season mountain destination thanks to an important project developed in partnership with Neveplast, an international leader in technical surfaces for skiing and outdoor fun.

With the official opening of the new Neveplast ski area on December 2025 the Romanian resort has significantly expanded its offer, delivering a complete, year-round experience that combines sport, entertainment and accessibility 365 days a year, regardless of weather conditions or natural snow availability.

A partnership built on proven success

The project represents a renewed and strengthened collaboration between Izvoare Resort and Neveplast, built on tangible results and a shared long-term vision. In 2024, the resort had already chosen Neveplast technology for the installation of a SKIDDY Drift Kart track, a go-kart attraction designed to simulate driving on ice. The track quickly became one of the most popular features of the resort, attracting a wide audience and confirming the appeal of innovative, all-season activities.

The excellent feedback and strong operational results achieved during the first year encouraged the ownership to take the next step, investing in a broader and more structured development. The ambition was clear: to transform Izvoare into a destination active all year round, offering an integrated mix of sport, training and leisure, and positioning the resort as a complete showcase of the Neveplast experience.

Skiing and snowboarding without season limits

At the core of the new development is the Neveplast ski slope, covering approximately 2,000 m² and extending over 90 meters, fully customized with the resort’s branding. Designed for both skiing and snowboarding, the slope supports a wide range of activities, from first-time experiences to technical training.

Thanks to its characteristics, the slope enables year-round operation, opening new opportunities for ski schools, clubs and youth programs. A dedicated ski school, active throughout the year, allows children, beginners and athletes to train with continuity, overcoming the limitations traditionally imposed by seasonality.

This approach positions Izvoare Resort as a reference point for destinations seeking to extend their winter sports offer beyond the natural snow season, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, progression and accessibility.

The ski slope and the TUBBY and SKLIDE areas are all equipped with a conveyor belt provided by our partner SUNKID, whose technology plays a key role in guaranteeing comfort, safety and accessibility. We would like to sincerely thank Sunkid for their valuable contribution to the project.

The FUN Area: leisure, adrenaline and family entertainment

Alongside the sports infrastructure, Izvoare Resort has developed a comprehensive Neveplast FUN Area, integrating the full range of Neveplast leisure solutions and significantly expanding the resort’s appeal to families and non-skiers.

The FUN Area includes:

• SKIDDY, the go-kart drift track that simulates driving on ice, delivering a controlled yet adrenaline-filled experience

• TUBBY, with two straight tubing lanes, each 80 meters long, designed for fast-paced, accessible fun

• SKLIDE, with two 80-meter-long lanes dedicated to sliding activities for children and families

This combination creates a diversified offer capable of engaging different age groups and visitor profiles, increasing dwell time and enhancing the overall guest experience. By integrating sport-oriented facilities with leisure attractions, Izvoare Resort successfully balances performance, entertainment and inclusivity.
